Following the half day walk led by Cliff Weight on Saturday 30th July, twelve of the eighteen walkers adjourned to The Wotton Hatch for a pub lunch. They were joined there by a further five members.

Among those present were Doreen and Ron Powney; Doreen was a founder member of the Club. They were proudly showing the card received from the Queen on the occasion of their Diamond Wedding Anniversary a few days earlier. I am sure that the whole Club extends them our warmest congratulations.

Doreen organised the Club's annual holidays for years. She had loaded pictures of various holidays on to a memory stick. The first picture shows various people gathered round Shirley Weight's laptop reminiscing about bygone holidays and outings.  The second one shows the group enjoying a good lunch.
