I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year on behalf of the MVR Committee.

Thank you for your continued support and participation in making our walking group achieve the success it has in 2025.

As you may know, MVR, for the first time ever, will be awarded the Membership Trophy at the Surrey Area Council AGM on 7th February 2026 (details here).

This trophy belongs to everyone who is part of MVR, however large or small the role you play in it.

I'm sure you will join me and the committee in thanking all the volunteers who play a crucial role in the continuing success of MVR.

Going forward, I would like to encourage more members to consider volunteering for committee and affiliated roles so that our succession planning runs smoothly.

Please join me in thanking the walk leaders who have produced an excellent lineup of walks during the Festive period and beyond.

Best wishes,

Abdul Elahi

Chair MVR on behalf of the committee
