Mole Valley Ramblers

- friendly walking in the heart of Surrey

Our third enjoyable multi-walk picnic was held on October 8th. There was a choice of four different walks ranging from 4 to 11 miles all merging at Leith Hill Tower so that we could get together again for some congenial company and a picnic.

Despite the sky being a rather unappealing grey colour and much of the morning being accompanied by a stubborn mizzle, thirty five people gamely showed up for the walks and one person even joined us for the picnic part - well done Andy !

Fiona was able to address the assembled multitude, partly to thank the various walk leaders but also to remind members about our AGM which is now to be held on November 27th at 4pm using Zoom. She encouraged people to think about taking a turn on the committee or perhaps supporting them in some smaller capacity such arranging social events.

We also said a fond farewell to Eloise who will soon be moving away from Surrey; she will be greatly missed by those of us who know her well.

After we had eaten our picnics and consumed most of the Bakewell tart that was on sale in the Leith Hill Cafe, we all wended our way back to our respective starting points and from there headed homewards.

A jolly time was had by one and all !   Same again next year ?
