National Map Reading Week

Runs from 16-22 October and aims to re-inspire adventure; to teach children, teenagers and adults how to read maps and how they can get lost in the landscape, without ever actually getting lost! There are lots of useful resources here on the Ordnance Survey website.

Newlands Corner Update - 13 Sept 17

The Planning Inspectorate has told Surrey County Council that a Public Enquiry into the multi-user play trail will be needed. SCC has decided not to continue with its proposal at the moment due to the cost of setting up an enquiry, but they might want to revisit the play trail plans at a later date. Cliff's Magnificent Milestone

On 20 July we had a special celebratory walk from Newlands Corner entitled Venerating Veterans. Former walk leaders had been invited by our Chairman, Joan Young, to join this walk, led by Fiona in honour of our veteran walk leaders.

Spring Walks Festival 2017

After several months of preparation, and with the generous support of our volunteer helpers and walk leaders, the Spring Walk Festival was a great success, running for 9 days from 29 April until 7 May.
