Spring Walk Festival

After several months of preparation, and with the generous support of our volunteer helpers and walk leaders, the Spring Walk Festival was a great success, running for 9 days from 29 April until 7 May.

NT parking charges

The National Trust has started to introduce new ticket machines at its car parks. Members will be asked to scan their membership cards in order to obtain a free ticket; further details here.

New MVR Chairman - Joan Young

Hello Everyone
As some of you will have heard I was elected Chairman at the November AGM.

I have been a member of Mole Valley for over 30 years so know many of you. I hope in the coming months and years to get to know many more of you. There were four past chairmen at the AGM so I know I have hard acts to follow; I can but do my best.

Surrey County Council has updated its development schedule for this site. Click here to see details of the planned developments and the revised schedule.

A letter opposing these plans has been sent to the Planning Inspectorate on behalf of MVR and can be seen here

Pathwatch Campaign Re-launched

In November 2016 the Ramblers re-launched their Pathwatch campaign and have urged everyone to report any footpath maintenance problems. You can find more information on the new campaign here and details of how we are working with Surrey County Council to maintain our rights of way here.
