Welcome to Mole Valley Ramblers
Welcome to Mole Valley Ramblers, offering friendly group walking across the heart of Surrey and further afield. Both on weekdays and at weekends we provide a range of walks, generally 5-7 miles for half day walks and 10-12 miles for full day walks. We also offer shorter more leisurely walks, of 3-5 miles, for those who would prefer to begin with something gentler.
Over the festive period we shall continue to offer a full programme of walks to either build up the appetite or help you recover from any of the excesses of the various celebrations! The weather may be colder and wetter but put the shorts and sandals away and get out the fleece, the waterproofs and woolly hat and join us on a Mole Valley ramble.
Across the country there are many Ramblers walks to choose from during the Festival of Winter Walks, a special fortnight of walks (23 Dec – 7 Jan) to encourage more people to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of our wintery landscapes. We have decided to join forces with other local Groups to show how you could go on a walk every day over that period, walking both with Mole Valley and other Surrey Groups.
Please see here for a poster listing the walks we think might be of most interest to our members. You will need to go to the Surrey Ramblers website here for full walk details. Just click a date in the Walks Calendar in the top right corner, then scroll down and click on a walk to get the full details. However, if these are not enough to tempt you out, then use the Walk Finder to see details of all Ramblers walks throughout the festive period.
There is no need to pre-book, just decide on the day, pack your walking boots, a waterproof, and refreshments, and make your way to the walk starting point. You are welcome on any of our walks, wherever you live. There is no need to join the Ramblers Association in advance; you may try out any of our walks for free. But if you like what you find on your first few walks we look forward to welcoming you as a regular member of Mole Valley Ramblers.
Finally, on behalf of the Mole Valley Ramblers committee, we wish you all a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
